Welcoming 2022 + Celebrating everyone who joined the Rhea team in 2021

2021 brought a lot of changes to Rhea. We moved our corporate headquarters from Mars to Moon (Pennsylvania), adapted to the changing demands of the Covid-19 pandemic, and added four new members to our Pittsburgh team!

Environmental engineer Dana Vidic joined Rhea over the summer.

Dana graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in May of 2021 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Engineering and a certificate in Sustainability. She has a passion for environmental conservation and has been heavily involved in several sustainable art design competitions throughout her time at school; her work focused primarily on water treatment and distribution in low water climates and renewable energy systems.

Dana’s interests lie in environmental remediation, water engineering, sustainability, renewable energy, and biodiversity conservation. She fills her free time working in her metal workshop and spends as much time outdoors as possible, enjoying hiking, rock climbing, and camping.

This year, Rhea also welcomed Joe Hendrix to our survey team.

Joe graduated from the University of North Texas in May of 2021 with a B.S. in Geography and certificates in GIS and Sustainability. Joe’s main focus is GIS with LiDAR applications, data management softwares, and land usage change; and has professional interests in stormwater runoff mitigation, LiDAR, and sustainability. In his free time, Joe enjoys exploring the city, traveling, attending concerts, hiking, and camping.

We were thrilled to welcome Erik Hartle to the team this fall.

Erik graduated from Clarion University in May 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology. He has a passion for environmental conservation with interests in water quality. Erik has previous experience with E&S compliance inspections throughout PA, OH, and WV, as well as above-ground storage tank inspection experience. Erik’s free time is spent in the outdoors, whether it be fly fishing or hunting, tying flies, spending time with his wife, dogs, family, and drawing.

Last but not least, Rhea welcomes our indispensable Chief Technology Officer, Kevin Blasko.

Kevin graduated from Georgia Tech in 2011 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. When he isn’t keeping Rhea’s computers running, Kevin runs several product-focused small businesses, trades stocks and crypto, and works on his cars and motorcycles. He splits his time between California and Pennsylvania and takes every opportunity to hike, bike, and explore the great outdoors.
